Barry McFarland

18 years of service on the LCF Board
Barry McFarland was raised in Lexington and is a proud graduate of Lexington High School. He returned to his hometown to dedicate his career to education, serving students and families through Lexington Public Schools. His leadership journey has included roles as a teacher, principal at Morton Elementary, Assistant Superintendent, and currently as Principal of Sandoz Elementary School. In addition to his work in education, Barry is also involved in his family’s business, Mac’s Creek Winery & Brewery.
Barry is an active leader in the Lexington community. He has served as President of the Lexington Community Foundation, President of the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce and continues to support his parish, St. Ann’s Catholic Church, as a Trustee. He is also engaged in the church’s music ministry and religious education program
