The Lexington Community Foundation exists to encourage and strengthen philanthropy in order to provide a permanent source of funding for opportunities to improve the quality of life, strengthen the sense of community, benefit future generations in Lexington, Nebraska.
HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 4-YEAR PROGRAMS
Athea Roberts Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduate or graduating senior of Lexington High School and pursuing a degree in music or has been accepted into a music program/organization at a university, college, trade school or community college. Must show qualities of good character and leadership skills, be involved in school and community activities.
Brian Eilers Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a Dawson County High School student. Eligibility emphasis will be placed on the recipient being an employee, or a past employee, a student that has either a parent(s) or a grandparent(s) that work or have worked for Eilers Machine & Welding, Inc.
Class of '77 Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduating senior demonstrating good character, leadership, academic achievement, financial need, has participated in extra-curricular and community activities AND has at least one parent who is a graduate of Lexington High School or St. Ann’s High School.
Edsel Newman Scholarship
Consideration for the scholarship will be given to a Lexington High School graduating senior. Applicant must be pursuing a career in the field of engineering and/or computer science.
Home Federal Savings & Loan Association Scholarship
Consideration for the scholarship will be given to any student who will be graduating from Lexington High School. Applicant must be enrolled at any university, state college, community college or technical school within the State of Nebraska.
Housel Family Scholarship
Applicant must be a Lexington High School graduating senior who has demonstrated academic achievement and extra-curricular, athletic, and/or community involvement during his/her high school career. This scholarship is to provide recognition for achievement in the stated criteria.
Kay Linch Memorial Scholarship
Consideration will be given to a Lexington High School senior who enrolls in any university, college or technical school in a public service field of study. Areas of public service may include, but are not limited to, law enforcement, music, teaching, firefighting or nursing.
LCF Annual Scholarship
Scholarship will be awarded to a Lexington High School senior who enrolls in a four-year program at any university or college within the State of Nebraska. Consideration will be given to any graduating senior, who ranks in the upper 1/3 of their class.
LHS Alumni Scholarship
Consideration for the three annual scholarships will be given to graduating seniors of Lexington High School. At least one of the scholarships will be awarded to a student whose parent(s) or grandparent(s) has(have) graduated from Lexington High School or St. Ann’s High School.
Liz Richardson Community Service Award
Consideration given to any Lexington High School graduating senior, who ranks in the upper 1/3 of their class, shows qualities of good character, leadership, academic achievement, and shows outstanding community activities of at least 50 hours per school year.
Mark & Vera Turner Scholarship
Consideration will be given to a Lexington High School graduating senior who enrolls in a university, college, community college or trade school within the State of Nebraska and ranks in the top 1/2 of their class.
Norall Scholarship
Applicant must be graduating from a high school in Dawson County who is enrolled or is enrolling in a U. S. College. Consideration will be given to medical courses of study and to those students who plan to return to Dawson County upon the completion of their education.
Otto & Esther Murdock Scholarship
This Scholarship will be awarded to a Lexington High School graduating senior who enrolls at UNL, UNO or UNK. Consideration given only to a graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who provides evidence of being from a family of average or below average Nebraska income.
Robert & Barbara Wade Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduating Lexington High School senior who enrolls in a public university, college, community college or trade school within the State of Nebraska. Consideration given only to a graduate who ranks in the upper 1/2 of their class.
TeamMates Scholarship
Consideration given to any Lexington High School graduating senior who has actively participated in the TeamMates of Lexington program through his/her senior year. Applicants must be pursuing a post-secondary education. All qualified applicants will receive a scholarship.

The family of Athea Roberts has established a scholarship in her memory, in the amount of $750.00. Athea touched thousands of lives through her music and years of community service, and truly loved the Lexington community. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate or graduating senior of Lexington High School, pursuing a degree in music or has been accepted into a music program at a university, college, trade school or community college.
