The Lexington Community Foundation exists to encourage and strengthen philanthropy in order to provide a permanent source of funding for opportunities to improve the quality of life, strengthen the sense of community, benefit future generations in Lexington, Nebraska.
COLLEGIATE SCHOLARSHIPS
Athea Roberts Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduate or graduating senior of Lexington High School and pursuing a degree in music or has been accepted into a music program/organization at a university, college, trade school or community college. Must show qualities of good character and leadership skills, be involved in school and community activities.
Brian Eilers Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a college student and a high school graduate of Dawson County. Eligibility emphasis will be placed on the recipient being an employee, or a past employee, a student that has either a parent(s) or a grandparent(s) that work/have worked for Eilers Machine & Welding, Inc.
Byron & Bessie Wightman Scholarship
Applicant must have completed at least 30 hours of college without less than a 3.2 grade point average while attending any accredited four-year college within or outside the State of Nebraska.
Edsel Newman Scholarship
Consideration for the scholarship will be given to a Lexington High School graduate. Applicant must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited curriculum leading to a B.S. degree in engineering and/or computer science.
Home Federal Savings & Loan Association Scholarship
Consideration for the scholarship will be given to any student who has graduated from Lexington High School. Applicant must be enrolled at any university, state college, community college or technical school within the State of Nebraska.
Norall Scholarship
Applicant must be a past graduate of a Dawson County high school who is enrolled or is enrolling in a U. S. College. Consideration will be given to medical courses of study and to those students who plan to return to Dawson County upon the completion of their education.
Pat Ruppe Scholarship
Applicant must be a graduate of Lexington High School and has an accumulative collegiate GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicant must be currently enrolled at a college or university and be entering their collegiate junior or senior year.

The family of Athea Roberts has established a scholarship in her memory, in the amount of $750.00. Athea touched thousands of lives through her music and years of community service, and truly loved the Lexington community. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate or graduating senior of Lexington High School, pursuing a degree in music or has been accepted into a music program at a university, college, trade school or community college.
