Lexington High School Class of 1977
Scholarship
DESCRIPTION
The Lexington High School Class of 1977 has established a scholarship
in memory of our classmates who have passed away. Our reunion committee
had always wondered what to do when one of our classmates died. We
decided we would each be responsible for our on memorial gift by donating
money to the Lexington Foundation. All money collected would go in
to our Class of 1977 Scholarship Fund. This was all voluntary, no set
amount was given and we had donations from $10 to $200. We hope to
keep our fund financed by encouraging future donations to Lexington
Foundation and designating Class of 19977 Scholarship Fund.
The Lexington Community Foundation will administer the $500 annual
scholarship that will be awarded to a Lexington High School senior
who enrolls in any university, college or technical school in Nebraska.
QUALIFICATIONS
Consideration for the scholarship will be given to any graduating senior
who shows qualities of good character, leadership, academic achievement,
financial need, has participated in extra-curricular and community
activities AND has at least one parent who is a graduate of Lexington
High School or St. Ann’s High School.
