LCF Educational Grant Program

The Lexington Community Foundation (LCF) Educational Grant Program is an initiative created by the LCF board of directors to encourage creative learning in our schools. Funding from the Lexington Community Foundation may be requested to support new and innovative learning in any area of our educational system. Annual projects and events will not be given funding consideration.

The maximum grant amount available for each school will be $10 per child enrolled at the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year. School administrators are encouraged to work with their staff to determine the best use of grants funds for maximum benefit to the entire school population. Grants funds can be targeted to more than one project or educational area.

To receive funding consideration, complete applications and narrative descriptions should be submitted to the Superintendent's Office no later than October 15th. The Superintendent will then forward the requests to the Lexington Community Foundation Grants Committee for consideration.

Grant proposals should include:

A. Completed application
B. Narrative description of your program(s) / project(s) (NOT TO EXCEED THREE PAGES)

1. Purpose of the grant
2. Describe the program(s) / project(s) will positively impact students
3. Timetable

The LCF Grants Committee will review all requests. Funding decisions will be made within one month of the date the application is received.
